Aug 19, 2023Waterford Twp. company to support rollout of Chaevi EV chargers
Income Power LLC of Waterford Township hosted a ribbon cutting, Aug. 23, for its new EV supercharging station. Through a partnership with Chaevi, a South Korean maker of EV supercharging stations for electric vehicles, Income Power plans to support the rollout of the Chaevi direct current fast charger (DCFC) in the North American market.
Income Power will install the chargers and perform operation and maintenance services for Chaevi through their partner company – Uptime Charger.
“The Chaevi direct current fast charger (DCFC) is a powerful stand-alone EV charger with 180kW to charge vehicles in 30 minutes or less. At the thrilling ribbon cutting event of the first charger in the market, the unit was praised for being compact, easy to operate, and reliable,” Income Power president and founder Patrick Lloyd said in an email.
“Chaevi is a market leader in Asia entering North America with powerful chargers and years of experience, but above all, Chaevi provides one of the most comprehensive operational support to ensure reliability and uptime. We are proud to be a part of their expansion and ready to revolutionize the industry.”
“These chargers require a commercial voltage so they will not work at residential homes as the voltage is different,” Lloyd explained.
Income Power provides electrical vehicle (EV) charging needs including EV charging installation, maintenance and warranty work for residential, commercial, and industrial. Founded in 2015, the company’s staff of 30 employees includes 18 licensed electricians.
Income Power was honored as a 2023 Michigan 50 Companies to Watch award winner through Michigan Celebrates Small Business, https://michigancelebrates.org/mcsb-awardees.
Income Power is located at 2970 Frembes Road in Waterford Township along with partner Uptime Charger, a separate company that offers a nationwide network of EV charging service support. For more information, visit www.incomepowerllc.com and www.uptimecharger.com.
